Empire sees less adjusted earnings last quarter
Sobeys’ parent company Empire is reporting a drop in adjusted earnings for the quarter ending May 6th. It was the first full one since the company hired a new chief executive with a mandate to revive the grocery chain. Empire had a $29.5 million net profit, with a year-over-year decline to $50.2 million. That’s down from $95.3 million.
