Mi’kmaq ceremony for a murder victim

The family of a murdered Mi’kmaq woman will now be able to lay her to rest beside her mother.

They are also hoping this will encourage comeone to come forward with information about the killing of Tanya Jean Brooks who was found beside a Halifax school in 2009.  Because she was murdered, police witheld part of her brain as evidence; but now they have returned it to the family and a smudging ceremony was held.

NAFTA update

If Donald Trump insists on rewriting NAFTA, then Canada has its own demands on a number of clauses.

Transport Minister Marc Garneau wouldn’t say just what they are and that canadians will have to wait.

President Trump has said he’s ready to begin a massive renegotiation of NAFTA.
