A world-class figure skater with Newfoundland roots has claimed silver medal in the women’s competition at the World Figure Skating Championships in Helsinki.
Marystown native, Kaetlyn Osmond finished in a strong second place at the championships with a score of 218.13.
Osmond placed behind Russia’s Evgenia Medvedeva (Med-vah-day-vah) who won gold with a score of 233.41.
Another Canadian will share the podium with Osmond, as Ontario’s Gabrielle Daleman took bronze with a score of 213.52.
