Beleaguered Senator Don Meredith refuses to resign over a sexual relationship with a teenage girl.
The Senate ethics officer says Meredith failed to uphold the highest standards of dignity inherent to the position of senator with the affair. The 52 year old Meredith admitted to having sex with the girl only after she turned 18. He told the Canadian Press he’s sorry for his moral failure but he will not be rushed into a decision about his future.
