With the recent milder weather, you can count on growing potholes; which have already begun to show up on area roads and highways.
Potholes form as over the course of the year, freeze-thaw cycles make the road surface susceptible to cracking, which can lead to water getting into the roadbed.
That water then freezes and expands, then thaws and contracts, leading to more cracking and undermining.
