March is Fraud Prevention Month and the RCMP are reminding you about a common scam.
It involves fraudsters posing as reps of the Canada Revenue Agency.
People get calls, emails; text messages and letters from fraudsters demanding personal and banking information.
Usually, scammers promise a refund or threaten arrest if you don’t pay up.
If you get such a call, hang up and report it to: antifraudcentre.ca
