Trudeau taking heat over low military spending

Justin Trudeau is defending Canada’s low military spending amounts.

U-S Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has given all NATO allies until May to come up with a plan for increasing the amount they spend on defence to two per cent of their G-D-P.

We currently only spend about one per cent, with the Prime Minister claiming Canada also “pulls its weight” in a variety of other ways.

A Glace Bay Buoy has gone AWOL

If you’re out on the water around Glace Bay watch out for the navigational buoy, it’s not where it’s supposed to be.  The six metre long Glace Bay light and bell buoy has dragged off course.

The Coast Guard normally picks it and 8 other large seasonal aids in early winter and then puts them back in the spring, but they didn’t because of the weather and the lack of a ship to do the job.

The Glace Bay Buoy floated well away from its charted position but will be repositioned within a few days.
