Cape Breton Flood Assistance to Cost Province 15-Million

The Thanksgiving Day floods in Cape Breton could cost as much as 15 million dollars. Zach Churchill, minister responsible for the Emergency Management Office, says that could run even higher because the province is still waiting for more insurance information. Churchill says the province has also begun meeting with the 18 Sydney-area homeowners who were most affected by the flooding. He says they will be given compensation to repair the damage, or the assessed market value if they choose to move.
