The Leafs season is done as Washington won 2 to 1 in OT to take the series 4 games to 2.

It was the Sens over Boston 3 to 2 in OT, winning the series 4 games to 2.

The Jays got past the Angels 6 to 2.  The Red Sox downed the Orioles 6 to 2, and the Yankees lost 2 to 1 to the Pirates.

In the NBL, the Storm lost to the KW Titans 115 to 110.  The Highlanders nipped the Riptide 91 to 89, and the Hurricanes pounded the Miracles 135 to 110.

In the NBA playoffs, the Celtics are back in it; beating the Bulls 104 to 95 and tying their series at two games each.

Construction Boom in Moncton

The building boom in Moncton is continuing. The City of Moncton says the total value of building permits for the first quarter of this year, from January 1st to March 31st, came in at 60.8 million-dollars up from 42 million-dollars worth of construction over the same quarter of last year. The total number of building permits issued also rose from 146 in 2016 to 162 during the first quarter of 2017. The largest developments issued permits during the quarter include the 18-million-dollar expansion of Organigram, the five-five-queen condo project and a new 55-unit apartment building on Diamond Head Court.
