It’s North American Occupational Health and Safety Week, and the Canadian Federation of Independent Business is reminding businesses to review their policies and practices. CFIB business counsellors closed 3315 related cases in Atlantic Canada over the past five years. They review legislative requirements, update and create materials for members, and work with health and safety officers to answer member concerns.

New Brunswick’s Women’s Council established as independent advisory body
Legislation has been proclaimed to formally establish the New Brunswick’s Women’s Council as an independent advisory body. Its mandate is to promote the equality of women and girls, provide advice to government on important matters, and bring attention to public issues of interest and concern.
