Canada Border Services has closed the seasonal Deer Island port of entry indefinitely. It brought traffic from Eastport, Maine via a ferry that hasn’t run since 2014. Travellers going from Deer Island to Eastport can continue to use the alternate route through Campobello Island.

Tourism NB corrects Stats Can tweet with Hopewell Rocks picture
Tourism New Brunswick had to correct a Stats Can tweet yesterday. The agency posted about Mother Ocean Day and said the highest tides in the world are in Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia – along with a photo of Hopewell Rocks. New Brunswick responded by saying the attraction is there, on the other side of the bay.
