The major-midget Miramichi Rivermen are no more. Hockey New Brunswick says a bid to keep them in town was beaten by another in Bathurst. The Leader reports reasoning included a lack of recruiting, mandatory-practice policies and lack of communication with other minor hockey organizations.

Tourism NB corrects Stats Can tweet with Hopewell Rocks picture
Tourism New Brunswick had to correct a Stats Can tweet yesterday. The agency posted about Mother Ocean Day and said the highest tides in the world are in Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia – along with a photo of Hopewell Rocks. New Brunswick responded by saying the attraction is there, on the other side of the bay.
