A ground survey to delineate wetlands in the Parlee Beach area is on this week. Minister Serge Rouselle asks all local property owners to allow access so the environment department can check things out.
Part of the walking trail between Pointe-du-Chêne Road and Parlee Beach Road was recently identified as being in a wetland buffer zone, so once the survey is done the government will move the trail.
Auditor General Kim MacPherson has released her latest report. Included in it is her concern about disregard of procurement practices in a $13 million Social Development consulting contract. She also found climate change action items lack implementation plans and timelines. You can read the full report here:
