NS legislature report

The opposition is accusing Premier Stephen McNeil of playing political games when it comes to the Acadian riding boundaries.

The Premier refuses to rule out calling an election before new boundaries are set.

Opposition Leader Jamie Baillie notes the budget will be tabled about three weeks later than usual which has led to speculation by some that the Premier will table it then call and election and run on the budget.  He accuses McNeil of manipulating the public.

Air Miles issues

Air Miles collectors can’t use their cards for grocery store purchases for now.

The company is investigating the theft of cash miles from some card holders.  It isn’t releasing any details on how many are affected or the value of the stolen transactions, just that customers’ personal information is not affected.
