Three family doctors and a family practice nurse will join the collaborative practice at the Digby and Area Health Services Centre. The nurse starts later this spring, the doctors in September.
MLA Gordon Wilson says this will give everyone in Digby and surrounding areas including Weymouth, Bear River; Barton, and Digby Neck access to a family practice.
The council of classroom conditions has wrapped up its first set of meetings with a number of recommendations.
Set up as part of the legislated contract on teachers, the council helkd three days of meetings this week and came up with 18 recommendations.
They include things like giving teachers two days to respond to parent’s emails so classroom time isn’t disrupted and making changes to attendance policies.
Dartmouth High school teacher Michael Cosgrove told the CBC ultimately time will tell. Teachers, students; parents, and Nova Scotians will be the judge of it.
