RCMP say the death of a woman in Moncton on Saturday has been deemed suspicious. Police say they were called to the Elmwood Motel, on Elmwood Drive, around 3pm. A 21-year-old woman was found dead inside the motel. No other details have been released.

A pair of Maritimers narrowly missed the cut to become Canada’s next astronauts. Alex Delorey of Moncton and Michael Anthony Jordan from Halifax had been shortlisted from thousands of applicants to be among the final 17 candidates. However, neither made the final cut when Canada’s two new astronauts were announced during Canada Day celebrations in Ottawa yesterday.
