First Nations child welfare

The Canadian Human Rights Commission released its annual report to parliament which concentrated on child welfare services on First Nations.  The report said more attention needs to be paid to the rights of children, that they are being left behind when it comes to the basic rights of dignity, safety, education and family.

Although Ottawa has promised a fix for the system, First Nations groups say no real progress has been made.

Pot distribution

It’s going to be worth billions of dollars and many would-be distributors of recreational marijuanna want in on the action.

The Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management, which supplies medicines to hospitals and pharmacies says it has the system in place already to distribute grass and deal with any potential recalls.  CEO David Johnston says his organization has the infrastructure in place which would be far superior to mail order.
