Social media exploded with criticism of Sears Canada after it was learned the company is paying millions of dollars in bonuses to executives to keep them on, while refusing to pay severance to thousands of laid off employees during restructuring.

The Sears Facebook page erupted with comments from shoppers who called that a “Slap in the face” to the front-line workers, and vowing not to shop at Sears.

Residents of two communities in B.C. were able to return to their homes on the weekend.

The evacuation orders in 100 Mile House and Princeton were downgraded to alerts and residents were allowed to go home, but they may have to leave again at a moments notice.  Over 30,000 other Biritish Columbians remain displaced from their homes.

High winds are still fanning flames in some areas of the province.
