Social media exploded with criticism of Sears Canada after it was learned the company is paying millions of dollars in bonuses to executives to keep them on, while refusing to pay severance to thousands of laid off employees during restructuring.
The Sears Facebook page erupted with comments from shoppers who called that a “Slap in the face” to the front-line workers, and vowing not to shop at Sears.
