Corporate Research Associates has released a new survey on core Canadian values for Atlantic residents. A majority agrees that each of nine values in the study are core. Respect for those with disabilities and freedom of speech had the highest percentage of those in complete agreement, at 69% and 63% respectively. Bilingualism got the lowest support of that kind at 31%. Freedom of religion, gender equality, respect for cultural differences, democracy, freedom of assembly or association, and support for the economically disadvantaged were also covered.

Many changes in new NS cabinet
Premier Stephen McNeil and his new cabinet have been sworn in. Karen Casey moves to Deputy Premier, and Minister of Finance and Treasury Board. Zach Churchill becomes Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development. Leo Glavine is Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage; and Randy Delorey is Minister of Health and Wellness. Kelly Regan is Community Services Minister, and Keith Colwell is among those keeping porfolios as he stays Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Aquaculture. See the full list here:
