Pre-Primary Program to Start in Nova Scotia Schools this Fall

A pre-primary program for four-year-old’s in Nova Scotia’s schools could be rolled out as early as this fall. Premier Stephen MacNeil says there is no need to wait to include the program in the budget and that pre-primary programs could be rolled out in as many as thirty locations in the province this fall. The program could save parents thousands of dollars in daycare expenses. Once the play-based program is fully in place it’s expected to cost the province 49.4 million-dollars a year.
