The Canadian Army is practising its ability to respond to emergency situations in Nova Scotia over the weekend.
The excessive named “Staged Response” tests the army’s ability to respond to major emergencies in Atlantic Canada.
Reserve and regular forces will participate in the annual exercise taking place in western Nova Scotia.
In January, the 5th Canadian Division’s Immediate Response Unit, also involved in the excercise, was deployed in northern New Brunswick after it was hit with a huge ice storm.
