The U-S State Department wants permission from the White House to review social media, email addresses and phone numbers from some foreigners seeking U-S visas.
The proposed requirements would apply to people seeking visas who have been to areas controlled by terrorist organizations. They would hhave to supply information on their visa application about their social media handles and platforms, phone numbers and email addresses from the past five years, as well as 15 years of work and travel history.
