N-D-P leader Gary Burrill says the McNeil Government’s $13.6 million action plan for seniors announced this week is nothing but empty words.  Burrill pointed out the plan comes after the government cut funding nursing homes.

The new plan features initiatives to help people stay in their homes longer, promotes healthy living; and also encourages employers to hire older workers.

Trump trade study

President Trump will be ordering a study of America’s major trading partners to find out which ones are using abusive trade practices to run export surpluses, through anti-competitive trade practices.

The ultimate goal is to quantify exactly how much of the U-S global trade deficit is due to supposedly unfair practices, and seek remedies for the imbalance.  Canada has the smallest surplus of any country.
