NS measles report

The measles outbreak continues to spreads in the province.

Health officials say there are now 13 cases, including health-care workers who have caught the highly contagious disease.

Deputy chief medical officer of health Dr. Gaynor Watson-Creed says measures have been put in place to prevent the spread of it at their workplaces.  All of those cases involve people who have been in the same location as someone who was infected with measles.

Flour RECALL

A recall of Robin Hood brand flour has now been expanded to cover the whole country.

It started last month with the recall of products just distributed in western Canada.  Now the recall of 10 kilogram bags with a best before date of April 17, 2018, covers the whiole country.  The flour has been linked to 25 cases of ecoli.  There have been no deaths but several people had to be hospitalized.
