NS doctor delay

The McNeil Government is backing away from a campaign promise in the last election to make sure every Nova Scotian has access to a family doctor.

Health Minister Leo Glavine admits it’ll take another two or three years to find the doctors.  Glavine says the Health Authority is setting up 42 collaborative care clinics to get the job done.  But recruiting doctors will take more time.

Trump puts the “slap down” on a Syrian military base

President Donald Trump ordered cruise missile attacks on a Syrian military base last night in retaliation for the chemical attack earlier this week that left at least 80 civilians including children dead.

American officials believe Syrian military aircraft dropped the weapons containing chlorine mixed with a nerve agent, possibly sarin.

The U-S fired about 60 cruise missiles last night at an airbase in central Syria.  Trump issued a brief statement calling on all civilized nations to join the U-S in seeking an end to the carnage in Syria.
