Two 33-year-old women are facing drug trafficking charges after arrests by the RCMP in the Moncton area.
One woman was arrested on Thursday, with several hundred tablets of what is believed to be methamphetamine divided in different packages. The second woman was arrested the same day for trafficking crack cocaine.
Both women were released pending a court appearance on May 23.
Many Canadians will be spending an hour with the lights out tonight as they join people around the world in marking the tenth annual Earth Hour.
The event is aimed at drawing attention to climate change and for people to show they support efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The World Wildlife Fund says events in Canada will include a choir performing by candlelight in Montreal, skating under the stars in Vancouver, and candlelit walks in Toronto.
