Sex charges for a Campbellton Sports Hall of Fame member

A well known community sports leader in Campbellton appeared in court to face four sex-related charges involving a minor.

66-year-old Donat Paulin was in court on March 20th but The Tribune reports that the matter has been set over until April 24th for election and plea.

Paulin, a member of the Campbellton Sports Hall of Fame was recognized for his 4 decades of work with minor soccer; is charged with invitation to sexual touching, luring; exposure, and making sexually explicit material available to a child under 16.

Mount A student death

The body of a Mount Allison University student was found Saturday near the railway bridge on Bridge Street in Sackville.

The university announced the death of 20 year old freshman Theo Stylianides and ordered flags on campaus down to half staff.

The RCMP have not released the cause of death but say foul play is not suspected.
