Nova Scotia has been given a “C” grade by the Conference Board of Canada when it comes to social performance.

That puts it close to the bottom of the rankings along with PEI and Newfoundland and Labrador.  New Brunswick is ranked top among all the provinces with a “B” grade.  Canada got a “B” overall and ranked 10th out of 16 countries.

The U-N held an emergency debate on a chemical weapons attack on Syrian civilians in an opposition-held town that left several dozen people dead.

U-S ambassador to the U-N Nikki Haley warned that the Trump administration will act if the United Nations doesn’t, and urged the security council adopt a resolution condemning the attack and threatening consequences.

The Russians say the resolution gets ahead of actions by assuming the Syrian Government is to blame.
