The legislature is back sitting today after its three week Easter break. Opposition leader Blaine Higgs and the Tories will keep hammering away at the property tax scandal, while the Gallant goverment says its priority is passing 40 bills before they break for the summer.

NB provincial court to have gender parity with new appointments
The New Brunswick provincial court will soon have gender parity among full-time judges. Five new ones were named today: Joanne Durette in Bathurst, Johanne-Marguerite Landry in Caraquet, Natalie LeBlanc in Miramichi, Lucie Mathurin in Moncton and Kelly Ann Winchester in Saint John. Current Moncton-based Jolène Richard will take over as the court’s chief judge in June.
