The commander of an east coast naval vessel has been relieved of his command. CBC reports that Lt.-Cmdr. Robert Tucker of the Halifax based HMCS Goose Bay was relieved of his command following an incident off Caraquet, New Brunswick last week. The incident reportedly involved inappropriate comments directed at a subordinate. A navy spokesperson tells the CBC that alcohol was a factor.

Two RCMP Officers Injured Trying to Arrest Man with Knife in Moncton
Two RCMP officers were injured Friday night while trying to arrest a man who entered a restaurant with a knife. The Times and Transcript is reporting that the man entered the Greco Restaurant on Killam Drive in Moncton shortly before midnight. RCMP say the man with the knife was asking for help and did not appear to be trying to rob the restaurant. Two officers were injured while trying to arrest the man. They were treated in hospital and later released. The suspect also received received minor injuries during the incident. Police say the suspect may have been suffering from a pre-existing mental health condition and remains in hospital.
