The Financial Times has published what it says is the draft executive order that would have withdrawn the United States from the NAFTA accord.
U-S President Donald Trump had planned to sign the draft order on Saturday, before agreeing this week to renegotiate the trade deal.
The copy posted online says Canada has — quote — “continued to exploit the American dairy and lumber industries.”
The document also blames the North American Free Trade Agreement for what it calls a “massive transfer of wealth” away from the U-S.
