A new report says capital spending on major projects in Atlantic Canada will likely drop 7% this year. The Atlantic Provinces Economic Council does say long-term potential for investment growth is brighter and New Brunswick is looking at a better year, as the province will go up 18% to $2.3 billion of investment.

Majority of reissued property tax bills decreased: province
The province says the vast majority of reissued property tax bills have been decreased. Service New Brunswick reissued 1858 bills on Thursday, with more to come in July. It anticipates late this year or early next year for each request to be processed. Auditor General Kim MacPherson will also now take over the situation’s review, as Justice Joseph Robertson gave it up when he found out she was doing a similar investigation.
