In AUS basketball;
Acadia’s women won 83-72 over Memorial on Saturday while the Axemen lost to Memorial by ten.

In the NHL;
The Habs downed the Leafs 3-2 in overtime;
Elsewhere; the Rangers edged the Devils 4-3 in OT;
Nashville upset Washington 5-2;
Pittsburgh won 4-2 over the FLyers in an outdoor tilt;
and the Sharks downed the Canucks by a score of 4-1.

The island needs skilled trades-people

The Construction Association of P.E.I. is worried about an industry forecast that predicts a growing shortage of construction workers for the Island.

BuildForce Canada is estimating 300 more workers will be needed in the next decade, and currently more skilled workers are retiring than being hired.

Some local contractors are finding it almost impossible to find skilled people in different trade sectors, which can delay projects.
