Police are looking for suspects after an assault on Quinpool Road sent one man to hospital early Saturday morning. Police say a 35-year-old man walking with his girlfriend were approached by four men in a truck around 2:30am. After an argument, the 35-year-old man was struck in the face with what is believed to be a tire iron. The suspects fled in an extended cab grey Chevrolet Silverado towards the Armdale Roundabout. Police sat the truck had a burned out headlight and burned out taillight. Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

RCMP Release Domestic Violence Stats in NB
RCMP in New Brunswick say they have responded to almost two thousand domestic violence reports so far in 2016. That works our to roughly ten domestic violence call across the province every day. RCMP Superintendent Rick Shaw says the stats released by the RCMP likely only represent a fraction of domestic violence instances in the province. Shaw say victims often suffer violence numerous times before police are called and that many case are never reported.
