NB Power finished 2016-17’s third quarter with year-to-date earnings of $44 million. That was up $39 million over the same period the previous year. The utility also said the cost of the January storm is still being tallied, which saw about 600 poles broken.

Just over 25,000 Nova Scotians waiting for family doctor: NSHA
The Health Authority says just over 25,000 Nova Scotians are on the waitlist for a family doctor. That’s up from about 6000 in November, but 22 nurse practitioners have been hired to help alleviate that. The government is working on a collaborative care system, with dozens being set up around the province.
