The Conservatives are dismissing Liberal suggestions their cross-border campaign against the taxpayer-funded multi-million dollar settlement payout to Omar Khadr will impact upcoming NAFTA negotiations. Tory Leader Andrew Scheer says the two issues are not connected, and that he’s not about to play politics when it comes to trade talks with America.

Dartmouth apartment fire
Yesterday’s fire at a Dartmouth residence is being investigated. It broke out on Pleasant Street in the afternoon, and apparently started on the outside of an upper level apartment. No one was home at the time, but a dog was taken out safely.
