Trudeau taking heat over low military spending

Justin Trudeau is defending Canada’s low military spending amounts.

U-S Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has given all NATO allies until May to come up with a plan for increasing the amount they spend on defence to two per cent of their G-D-P.

We currently only spend about one per cent, with the Prime Minister claiming Canada also “pulls its weight” in a variety of other ways.

Miramichi storm meeting tomorrow

Public meetings are taking place about the January Ice Storm that crippled parts of the province for 10 days.

The Miramichi meeting will be held tomorrow at the Beaverbrook Kin Centre at 6:30 p.m.

The meetings are part of the province’s review of the response to the ice storm which at its height knocked out power to 130-thousand-people.
