Miramichi Catholic church meetings

The feedback from parishioners will be taken into consideration when the local Diocese reduces the number of churches they have.

Clusters containing 3, 5 or 10 churches are possible with teams of 2 to 7 priests working together.

The first public meeting will be on Tuesday, April 25th; starting at 12:30 in the afternoon at St Mary’s Church on Newcastle Boulevard, followed by one starting at 7pm, at St Michael’s Basilica, on Howard Street.

A third meeting will also be held on the 26 at 12:30pm at St Bridget’s Church in Renous.

NS & NB bee expert

Bee expert Robyn McCallum from Tabusintac NB, a Dalhousie University student; is doing research into native bee populations that could provide a much-needed boost to blueberry production in Nova Scotia.

McCallum, who’s also at Perennia Innovation Centre in Bible Hill and Kentville; will defend her thesis, Enhancing Lowbush Blueberry Agro-ecosystems for Wild Pollinators and Natural Enemies, later this spring.

Until then, McCallum isn’t revealing the details and findings of her research.
