Stats Can’s latest wage report has some Atlantic Canadians making among the lowest in Canada. 2016 data has parts of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia at the bottom, with Alberta on top. Six of Alberta’s seven economic regions were in the top 10 for the highest wages.

Miramichi doctor’s office removes note targeting the Indigenous after backlash
Miramichi doctor Allister Carter is under fire for a note posted at the reception desk of his office. It’s gone now, but was captured on social media by Maxine Ginnish of Eel Ground First Nation. It read “Attn: Native patients please don’t ask for tranquilizers or pain medications.” A formal complaint to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New Brunswick is planned.
