A right whale entangled in the Gulf of St. Lawrence has been freed. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration saw it on Wednesday, and DFO was among those who took part in the rescue. Results of the necropsies done on whales found dead in the Gulf are also pending.

Fire displaces New Minas couple
A New Minas couple has been displaced by fire. Both people had left for work when it broke out on Dow Road around 9 yesterday morning, and neighbours reported the blaze. The Red Cross is helping out.
