Group Warns of Chocolate Bar Selling Scam in Nova Scotia

The Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia program is warning the public about a fake fundraising campaign. A number of young people wearing junior achievement badges have been seen selling chocolate bars door-to-door and in grocery store parking lots in various locations around the province. In a release, Junior Achievement says there is no such fundraising campaign taking place and that the money collected is not going to their charity – which promotes learning programs and extra-curricular activities for students. Police are currently investigating. So far there have been reports of the fraudulent chocolate bar scam in Halifax, Bridgewater and New Glasgow.
