Atlantic Immigration Pilot Project underway

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Project is underway.  The three-year employer-driven program is designed to attract and retain talented immigrants while supporting population growth and addressing labour shortages. The pilot project will welcome 2000 additional immigrants and their families to the four Atlantic Provinces, a key component of the Atlantic Growth Strategy.

Federal funding for Tri-County Women’s Centre of NS

Federal funding has been announced for the Tri-County Women’s Centre of Nova Scotia.  $75,929 will enhance supports offered to victims and survivors of sexual violence in the criminal justice system.  The Centre will work with professionals in Shelburne, Yarmouth and Digby counties to provide training sessions on sexual assault, including the neurobiology of trauma, lived experience of victims and survivors, and challenging myths and stereotypes.
