Gary Burrill’s government would implement all recommendations in the NSGEU’s Code Critical report; be an active partner with doctors, nurses, health professionals and communities to deliver appropriate care; and use the announced $120 million to hire more family doctors and improve primary care.

NS surpassed by NB for oldest population in Canada
Nova Scotia now has the second-oldest population in Canada. New Stats Can 2016 numbers has our number of 65+-year-olds at 19.9%. The province has just fallen behind New Brunswick, which is at 19.92%. Alberta has the lowest seniors percentage in Canada at 12.3%.
