Valley weekend sports

Wheelchair racer Ben Brown of Cambridge will be at the Pioneer Coal Track in Stellarton on Saturday for the 1500 and 400 metre races at 4 and 6:10pm.  On Sunday the 200 meter is at 11:57am and final is at 2:43pm.

The Kentville Wildcats of the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League are at home on Sunday at Memorial Park, as they host the Truro Bearcats.  The games start at 2 p.m.

In the Nova Scotia Intermediate Baseball League, the Windsor Knights are in Hantsport to play the Shamrocks Sunday.  The games are at 1 and 3pm.

Springhill ATV incident

Cumberland RCMP are on the lookout for a driver of an ATV that refused to stop in Springhill on McGee Street Tuesday night around 9.

Police say there were two kids on the ATV, one in front of the driver and one behind him.

Both children were wearing bicycle helmets, which are not approved for ATV use; while the driver appeared to have a proper helmet.
