Delegates at the annual Atlantic Mayors Congress are being encouraged to think more regionally. About 30 municipalities are represented in Summerside and talking about tourism, urban planning and energy production and storage, among other things. PEI Premier Wade MacLauchlan encouraged leaders to do what they can to prepare for Canada’s coming demographic crunch.

Annapolis Valley Table Tennis Club
Half a dozen members of the Annapolis Valley Table Tennis Club have qualified for the Atlantic Championships.
They are Tomohisa and Takahiro Vibert, Anson Chan; Joel Churchill, Hayden Ehler and Ethan Ennis.
The championships will be in Charlottetown, starting today; and running through Sunday.
If they do well there, they will qualify for the nationals in Toronto in July.
