Canning-area drug incident

A Canning-area man nearly died from an opioid overdose recently.  Crews responded after a 911 call about the 32-year-old being unresponsive after taking hydromorphone.  Medics gave him Naloxone to block its effects, and he was treated in hospital afterwards.

New Stats Can data has the majority of unpaid work still being done by women.  Women spent 3.6 hours a day on average doing household chores, shopping and the like in 2015; men did 2.4 hours on average.  Regional stats include Atlantic Canadian fathers being the least involved in meal prep, at 53%.
