More Charges in Cape Breton Shooting

The investigation into a shooting last weekend in Skye Glen, Cape Breton has led to multiple gun and drug charges and police say more arrests are expected. A 34-year-old dairy farmer was treated in hospital and released after being shot in Sky Glen on June 2nd. A 33-year-old man from Stewartdale and a 27-year-old man from Judique are facing multiple charges related to drug and gun offenses. A 21-year-old woman from harbourview has also been charged with drug possession for purpose of trafficking. Police searched a pair of homes two days after the shooting and seized firearms, ammunition, marijuana and six kilograms of cocaine.

Nova Scotia Man Dies in Grand Manan, NB Crash

A Nova Scotia man has died following a single vehicle crash in Grand Manan, New Brunswick. RCMP believe the driver lost control of his vehicle near the end of Shore Road in Grand Manan and struck a seawall before overturning and landing in the water. A 68-year-old man from Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia was taken to hospital but later from of his injuries. Police say they believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
