Nova Scotia has a new lieutenant-governor.
Arthur LeBlanc is a former judge and lawyer, and sat on several private-sector boards as well as involvement with volunteer organizations.
He replaces J.J. Grant.

Parliament Hill protest
There was a protest on Parliament Hill yesterday in advance of the Canada Day celebrations.
A number of people were arrested during what the demonstrators described as a re-occupation ceremony. They carried poles intending to set up a teepee, but were blocked just inside the gates and taken away.
