Italy’s state-run R-A-I television has pulled a weekend talk show after a controversial episode.

This past weekend’s broadcast of “Parliamo di essa Sabato” (Let’s Talk About it Saturday) featured a segment about why Eastern European women allegedly make good girlfriends!

The list included that they get back in shape quickly after childbirth, forgive betrayals; let men take the lead, and are “perfect” housewives.

Online time concerns

A new report finds Canadians, especially 18 to 34 year olds, are spending more time online.  Media Technology Monitor says those people spend an average of 34 hours per week online, almost 5 hours a day.

Psychologist David Mensink at Dalhousie says the more time spent online, the less time spent on cultivating real-life relationships with loved ones.  He says they should cut fown on screen time and dedicate times for face-to-face interactions.
